Learning thru afflictions
LEARNING THROUGH AFFLICTIONS! by David Wilkerson [May 19, 1931 - April 27, 2011] The psalmist writes, “It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may learn Your statutes” (Psalm 119:71). You may wonder, as I have, “What kind of theology is this? Is it actually good to be afflicted?” The Hebrew word for affliction here means “abased, chastened, defiled, hurt, humbled,...

Leaving and forgetting
LEAVING AND FORGETTING by David Wilkerson [May 19, 1931 - April 27, 2011] The Holy Spirit’s message to the bride of Christ in Psalm 45 was: “Forget your own people also, and your father’s house” (v. 10). The still, small voice was whispering, “It’s not enough just to leave your past behind. You must also forget it all—put it out of your mind—all past loves and...

Called unto the fellowship
CALLED UNTO THE FELLOWSHIP by David Wilkerson [May 19, 1931 - April 27, 2011] Paul the apostle wrote: “God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord” (1 Corinthians 1:9). This single verse opens us up to a truth that can see us through every storm of life. Here is a simple truth that can keep our hearts at rest when all things around us are shaken....

Filled with hope, joy and peace
FILLED WITH HOPE, JOY AND PEACE! by David Wilkerson [May 19, 1931; April 27, 2011] If you want the peace of God to reign in your life, you have to quit several things:      * You must quit trying to figure out how God will work everything out.      * You must quit worrying and fretting: “Be anxious for nothing…” (Philippians 4:6).      * You must quit telling God what you think is right...

Jennifer Aniston's Banned Heineken Commercial
via youtube.com It baffles me why this commercial was banned. There are other commercials that would be considered racy, suggestive, or provocative but this commercial is mild relatively speaking. Posted via web from Hubert’s posterous | Comment »

A Visual Guide to Twitter
via applicant.com What exactly is Twitter? Some people don’t get what Twitter is about and this visual guide is probably the best illustration of the many uses of Twitter. Posted via web from Hubert’s posterous | Comment »

Ninja Star Magnets
via epauletshop.com Since my previous post covered Ninja Star push pins I might as well follow it up with Ninja Star magnets. I know that some people would rather use a whiteboard than a corkboard (and some use both) so these magnets would be better for them. Posted via web from Hubert’s posterous | Comment »

Ninja Star Push Pins
via thinkgeek.com Sick and tired of your regular colored push pins? You can go out and buy some of those cutesy push pins at PowerBooks or Fully Booked. But, if you think of yourself as a masculine type who wouldn’t bother with anything saccharine or cheesy, then these Ninja Star push pins are probably meant for you. Lego business card
via guardian.co.uk Not actually a business card but these mini figurines (minifigs) are what Lego staffers are given to hand out to their clients. Their names are in front while the details are at the back. I wonder how they carry them around? Do they just store a couple in their pocket? Posted via web from Hubert’s posterous | Comment »

MicroNickel
via spy-coins.com I’d like to get several of these coins to store my MicroSD cards but they’re a bit pricey at $30 per coin. I’m almost 100% sure that if you get caught with one of these coins at an international airport the TSA will surely scan the contents of the MicroSD card. I wish they had the coins in my own currency, the Philippine Peso. Posted via web from...

Twe2 - Get your Twitter Alerts via SMS worldwide... →
Several months ago Twitter discontinued sending their SMS alerts to countries outside of the U.S.  It was a bit disappointing since I am often out on the road and I follow a number of tech luminaries whose tweets help me watch current trends.  It’s a good thing that someone decided to put up Twe2 so that folks like me can still get the same service for free.  Sure, there is a line of...

Ever wonder what the view is like from the top of Mt. Everest?  I’m sure a lot of folks have seen photos taken from atop Everest but there aren’t too many well-stitched 360° pictures like the one pictured on this website.
